I am a Visionary Operations Manager and Learning Technologist with 23 years of military experience, encompassing roles like Master instructor, Supply and Logistics manager, and more. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Learning Technologies with an emphasis on Artificial intelligence tools in Education at the University of North Texas, I bring a unique blend of practical expertise and academic rigor to my work.

As a businessman, President of a non-profit organization, and youth program director in Texas, I wear multiple hats. I also serve as an instructional designer at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, applying my skills in graphic and website design.

My strategic mindset is evident in my supply chain management, business analysis, and business development roles, where I've led cross-functional teams and initiated continuous improvements. Additionally, I harness learning technologies and digital tools to create immersive training programs, aiming for academic excellence, personal growth, and self-development. Employ adult learning theory and forward-thinking instructional design techniques to create the school of medical curricula. Assist faculty in the design of innovative teaching solutions and resources following usability, visual design, and accessibility while adhering to regulatory compliance (FERPA or HIPPA). Direct the creation of video-based, synchronous, and asynchronous online teaching learning technologies, creating a range of digital learning tools to engage and motivate end users.

Military Science Instructor &

Guest Lecture

U.S. ARMY RESERVE

Provided classroom instruction and lab instruction in military science and the profession of arms.  Actively involved in mentoring, coaching, and well as demonstrating leadership counseling and development.Established learning plans and developed learning curriculums. Instruct cadets enrolled in the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program at local universities.

Operations and Training Development Manager

U.S. ARMY RESERVE

Manage a program of instruction curriculum and information needed to determine funding, workforce, land, ranges, simulations, automation, facilities, classrooms, and other resources. Manage the current Knowledge management practices, analyze the KM program’s effectiveness, and design a training module. Maintains ARPRINT training support materials; prepares materials for advising the unit commander on military education requirements; is in charge of recruitment, marketing, and internal position advertisement; and manages school applications. Serves as subject matter expert of facilitation and Instructions.  Specialized experience includes leadership and direction in defining and managing HR policies and accountability activities, planning and implementing, and experience in maintaining up-to-date brigade policies and procedures.

  • Created Courses Catalog for 25 courses taught throughout 1st brigade’s footprint.

  • Worked with the United States Sergeant Major's Acasdemic n course Creations for Advance Leacers Course NCO Common Core Competencies

  • Received a Meritorious Service Medal (MSM) and Army Commendation Medal for outstanding skills, and expert contribution to the brigade, division, and training command for creating training products used throughout the command.

  • Earned invitation to participate in Army assessment of supply school curriculum as a subject matter expert.

Senior Army Instructor

U.S. ARMY RESERVE

Manage unit supply curriculum, including delivering instruction, preparing training schedules, and administering exams. Maintain accountability of all supplies/inventory valued at $5K or less, including clothing, computers, and A/V equipment. Facilitated group discussions on operational environment, physical security, threat assessment, and operational security. Serve as primary recruiter for Army instructors in the Houston area. Monitor, mentor, and assess assistant instructors.

Led full scope of business operations, spanning strategic planning, sales, customer service, quality control, regulatory compliance, and HR activities, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, and employee relations. Oversaw team of 160+.

  • Boosted freight productivity by 18% in four months and increased sales comped by 28.3%.

  • Achieved 25% increase in productivity of back-end operations.

  • Drove department profitability from $5,400 to $6,500 in one quarter by retraining staff to complete buyback and returns to vendors for defective or damaged items.

Supply Chain Manager

STORK TECHNICAL SERVICES

Oversaw supply chain operations for 70K SF oil & gas distribution center, coordinating procurement, maintenance, inventory control, and logistics activities. Partnered with procurement, project management, and QA departments to identify and qualify new suppliers. Ensure appropriate recycling, reuse, or disposal of products through product take-back and reverse logistics programs.

  • Reduced purchase order errors by 10% by negotiating prices/terms with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders.

  • Increased on-time arrivals and ensured vehicles were utilized properly by tracking mileage and reviewing routes to select more direct paths.

  • Implemented new/improved supply chain processes; improved bin storage system to decrease time field teams spent locating items and identified stored waste that was not required for current projects.

  • Analyzed inventories to identify methods to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, and optimize customer service.

TEXAS ARMY NATION GUARD (ACTIVE GUARD AND RESERVE)

Directed operations for warehouse fulfilling government contracts for 9,000+ U.S. residents in Iraq and Texas. Managed facilities, submitted work orders, purchase orders and coordinated repairs. Oversaw storage and control of $45M in supplies and equipment. Manages the Life Cycle of material and cost reimbursement within LOGCAP and contracts over 1.2B guided by using the Federal Acquisition Regulations.

Accomplishments:

​

  • Reduced hotel footprint of 3,400 service members staying in hotels throughout TX during battle drill and improved efficiency of creating invoices and payments for establishments by 85% by assessing critical values of funds spent.

  • Developed Lean methods to reduce waste, improve total asset management, enhance fuel change management, and increase system performance.

    • ​Maintained 100% accuracy in inventory management.

    • Redistributed $16M in excess equipment throughout the command and oversaw the disposal of redundant equipment once operational needs were met.

    • Analyzed fuel consumption of 400+ vehicles to develop a fuel consumption track based on fuel consumption rate while idle and in use, minimizing the cost of road operations during emergencies $78K.

  • Created and implemented a program to deliver safety training to 500+ personnel, leading to reduced safety violations from 10% to less than 2%.

  • Established an effective parts library system to streamline and categorize technical manuals based on areas of responsibility and expiration dates, providing leaders and peers improved access to parts and technical manuals.

  • Boosted drivers’ training 70% in one year by developing a process that allowed partial training broken down into several 5-hour sessions monthly and suggested using the train-the-trainer method to certify more experienced trainers.
